Likely having been made in Europe thanks to it’s tall square box setting design, this antique engagement ring is hand crafted in platinum, circa 1920s into the 1930s. An off round, nearly cushiony shape, Old European Cut diamond takes centre stage and is adorned in each corner of the setting by an additional old single cut diamond. There raised box setting exhibits original engraving which is in excellent condition. Tapered diamond set shoulders finished with fine millgrain detailing really adds the finishing touch to this superb antique ring.

Metal: Platinum.

Marks: Stamped PLAT. Tests confirm platinum.

Measurements: 7.8mm x 7.8mm with the table of the diamond rising 6.5mm from the finger. 2.8mm shoulders narrow to 1.5mm D shape shank.

Stones: Natural Old European Cut of a sort of cushion shape. This diamond is definitely not round which is why it was likely set in a square setting. Estimated as being just under the carat mark at 0.93ct. Colour I-J. Clarity Si1. There is a further 0.04ct set in the top spread between then four diamond and each shoulder is set with approximately 0.05ct. The upper diamond in the shoulders are estimated at 0.03ct and the lower two approximately 0.01ct. Total overall diamond weight estimated at approximately 1.07ct.

Weight: 3.6 grams.

Condition: Excellent.
