Art Deco Diamond Earrings

A superb example of true art deco drop earrings. Crafted in 18ct yellow gold with platinum tops, typical of the style of the manufacture found in the 1920/30s. The diamonds set in these earrings are often known as transitional cuts, these are the early form of what we now call modern brilliant cuts.

Metal: 18ct Gold & Platinum.

Marks: Unmarked - tests confirm 18ct and platinum.

Stones: Upper old brilliant cut diamonds each approximately 0.16ct. Lower old brilliant cut diamonds each approximately 0.25ct. Total combined weight of approximately 0.82ct. This total excludes the four small diamond macles set in the floral aspect of the droppers.

Measurements: From the top of the upper platinum setting to the very bottom of the platinum halo, excluding the ear wire, measures 29mm. Top platinum setting 5.5mm in diameter. Bottom halo 8mm in diameter.

Weight: Total 4.14 grams.

Condition: Excellent.
