Product Details

A truly stunning antique engagement ring for anyone looking for an Old European cut diamond as the principle stone. Mounted in a handmade mount of classic European design and manufacture circa 1920s, the diamond is certificated as an Old European Cut of 0.93ct. The diamond was certificated out of setting as they stone and mount did not start life together.

As with all our pieces we offer full disclosure. The mount was one that we took in as part payment against a remount job. Our Client inherited this ring from her Mother but did not like the engagement ring style. We remounted the diamond in a contemporary bespoke setting and accepted the left over platinum mount as part payment agents the work.

This was pre-pandemic so the mount has been just waiting for the right stone to come along. Finally an Old European Cut diamond, the perfect match for this mount came along and the married up perfectly. An antique ring saved from scrap and a reclaimed diamond saved from re-cutting.
