Sapphire & Diamond Platinum Art Deco Ring
Description: A fantastic handmade sapphire and diamond ring modelled in platinum. Most likely of British manufacture from the first half of the 20th century sometime between the two wars. Wonderful pierced top featuring millgrain texturing so typical of art deco jewellery.
Metal: Tests indicate platinum.
Stones: Natural emerald cut sapphires of deep blue colour totalling approximately 1.80ct overall. Assessed as 0.74ct in the centre, flanked by 0.55ct & 0.51ct.
Diamonds mixed between 8 cuts and old brilliant cuts totalling approximately 0.65ct. All of good colour and clarity. One slightly chipped.
Measurements: The head measures approximately 13mm x 19mm yet sits low to the finger at approximately 5mm proud. Diamond set split shoulders 1.5mm wide that maintain this width right the way around the shank of the ring.

Condition: This is a a true antique and should be treated as such. It is in excellent condition yet shows minor signs of its age. One diamond is slightly chipped. All in all this is a fantastic item of art deco jewellery.
