Art Deco diamond ring

A fabulous 18ct white gold hand chased art deco ring set with just over half a carat of Brilliant cut diamond. This will make a great alternative to the modern solitaire diamond engagement ring or even as a stand alone piece it works exceptionally well. Circa 1920s / 30s the story goes it was originally purchased in the USA and we agree it looks very much of American manufacture of the time.

18ct white gold.
A central brilliant cut diamond approximately 0.54ct. We have assessed the colour as being J/K and clarity we must call I1 owing to a a feather like inclusion under the table. However we often see this grade of stone assessed as Si2 or 3. The shoulder blue elongated stones are no doubt synthetic sapphire rather than natural. Very typical of the era and totally correct for the piece.
The base of the head is 9.5mm and narrows slightly to 8mm at the top. The ring sits approximately 5mm proud of the finger. 2.4mm at the back of the finger.
3.5 grams.

UK S - US 9 1/8.
