Product Details

A striking ladies diamond heart shaped ring. Cafted with solid 9ct gold and with the diamonds set in a silver top. The head of the ring is Victorian and very typical of that era. The shank is not original to the ring and has been replaced at a later date, most likely due to the old shank being worn too thin. We cannot confirm the date of the shank but it is also vintage.

Metal:

9ct gold with a silver top.

Marks:

Un-marked. Tests 9ct. The shank is a later addition and not the original.

Stones:

The centre stone is an old-cut diamond approximately 0.02ct and is surrounded by twenty-one rose-cut diamonds. Each are approximately 0.02ct. The total approximate carat weight is 0.46ct.

Carat is a measurement of weight not size when we speak of gemstones. As the vast majority of our gemstones are already set we cannot get a precise weight without unsetting them and weighing them. You will see approximate weight written on plenty of our descriptions, mostly old cuts diamonds. We endeavour to get as close as possible using a schindler but ultimately this is not exact.

Measurements:

The heart measures 11.5mm x 12mm the finger. When worn, the ring rises 3.8mm proud. He shank measures 3.5mm near the shoulders and tapers down to 2.6mm at the back.

Weight:

3.16 grams.

We always disclose the weight of the item of jewellery so you can get an idea of what you would be purchasing if you so decide too. We would highly recommend before purchasing any jewellery from anywhere, you ask for the weight if not listed.

Finger size:

Finger size: UK R 1/2.US & Canada 8 7/8.

Condition:

Excellent.
