Antique 18ct Gold Crest Signet Ring

A very simple antique gold signet ring with a weathered crest engraving. Originally given to an unknown recipient as a Christmas gift in 1928 by Bertie & Phyllis, the evidence of this rings past can clearly be seen under the head. Little personally touches such as the engraving which can be seen clearly in the pictures, is why we love antique jewellery so much.

Metal: 18ct yellow gold.

Marks: Partially hallmarked CG&S London. The date letter is missing but the provenience places the ring in the 1920s.

Measurements: Just shy of 11mm at its widest, sitting low to the finger with a rise of just 1.5mm. 2.5mm wide at the back of the finger.

Weight: 5.25 grams.

Condition: Needless to say this item is not new and has clearly been worn a fair bit over the past century. For a ring of the style and age, the condition is entirely commensurate.
