1920s Diamond set signet ring

A fantastic looking gentleman’s signet ring set with a square old cut diamond. Hallmarked in London in 1927, the marks are as clear as they would have been when first punched. Wonderful detailing to the head and shoulders the diamond may well have been reset from a beloved item of family jewellery all those years ago as the diamond is a typical looking Victorian cut of stone. It may well have simply been a stone that the manufactures had in stock. The manufactures are Lawson Ward & Gammage of London and are still making jewellery to this date.
