18ct ruby and diamond gypsy ring

A superb ruby and diamond gypsy ring modelled in 18ct gold and set with stunning old mine cut diamonds and natural deep red rubies. A ‘modern’ ring, hallmarked mid 1990s but set with antique stones cut a polished during the late Victorian era. We do not class this as a reproduction but more of a re-make. The old ring no doubt was totally worn to the point of no return and someone commissioned it to be remade exactly as it would have been 100 years previous.

18ct yellow gold.
LW & G London 1995.
Old mine cut diamonds totalling approximately 0.65ct. These break down as approximately 0.15ct, 0.40ct (centre), 0.10ct. Being set in 18ct yellow gold it is hard to give a precise colour grading as diamonds are likely to draw yellow tints from the surrounding metal but they appear a good colour grade. We would conservatively place an approximate colour grade of H/I. Clarity SI.
6.5mm wide at the centre tapering down to 3.5mm at the back of the finger.

Excellent. We have kept this unpolished but are more than happy to polish to a mirror finish upon request.
