Edwardian Lavalier Diamond Pendant & Brooch
A particularly charming Edwardian piece, newly acquired and beautifully preserved. This diamond lavalier pendant and brooch is crafted in a combination of gold and silver, a technique commonly seen in antique jewellery.
Set throughout with old-cut diamonds in claw settings, the stones have the characteristic charm of antique diamonds, with their individual facets and subtle variation. Their arrangement is typical of the Edwardian period.
Its versatile design allows it to be worn either as a pendant or as a brooch.
Metal: Mixed reading of 9ct–12ct gold. Silver.
Marks: The metal of this piece has been thoroughly tested using an XRF analyser, with readings indicating gold between 9ct and 12ct, alongside silver.
Measurements: 50.5mm x 33.5mm.
Stones: Old-cut diamonds totalling approximately 1.54ct. Colour H/J. Clarity VS1 / SI2.
Weight: 9.1 grams.
Condition: Very good.
