A beautiful antique round buttery 15ct gold locket, rich in history and sentiment. This piece was cherished as a mourning locket and still contains a portrait of a gentleman in uniform alongside a small lock of hair.
The front is engraved with the initial “H” and the date 1917, suggesting it was kept as a treasured keepsake in remembrance of a loved one. Unfortunately, we do not know who the man is, but it is thought that this is a memorial piece for him. We have therefore preserved both the photograph and the lock of hair within the locket; they can be carefully removed if preferred.
