Vintage 1970s marquise shape signet ring
A unique marquise shaped signet ring modelled in 9ct gold and hallmarked London 1970. The latin in the ribbon at the bottom of the crest reads ‘vincere est vivere’ which translates as ‘To conquer is to live’. The crest appears to be a generic copy and was cast in place when the ring was made rather than being engraved under commission. This ring is most likely one of a small batch, made for stock. Personally I have not seen one like this before and would consider it a very desirable shape for anyone looking for something other than the bog standard oval Oxford signet ring.
