SKU: E675-32 Category:
18ct white gold & platinum.
Hallmarked AB 18ct London 1975. Also stamped Platinum.
The sapphire is a light blue colour weighing in at 3.8 carats. Although it is not certificated as being heat treated, we are assuming it not to be thanks to the light colour saturation of the stone. Mostly heat treated stones are a far darker colour, close to the royal blue sapphire colour. Origins of the stone are also unknown and although many people describe sapphires as Ceylon or Sri Lankan, without provenience it is wrong to label them as such. The surrounding diamonds are each approximately 0.17ct totalling an impressive 1.92ct. Bright and lovely we have assessed them to be G-H colour and Vs clarity.
The head measures a sizeable 18mm x 17mm, a slightly more round proportion that you would normally get with an oval cluster ring. The sapphire stands approximately 7mm proud of the finger. Knife edge shoulders widening to a classic 2mm D shape shank.
6 grams.
Excellent condition. The sapphire, from the side, looks slightly as we say in Norfolk, ‘on the huh’. This is mostly owing to the cutting of the stone. As with all our stock we offer full disclosure and welcome any questions about our stock.
