Victorian Silver Locket-SOLD

A Victorian sterling silver star-studded locket and collar featuring an ivy leaf pattern. The chain is slightly longer than average and features a unique double bolt ring clasp. There is a larger jumping offset to one side allowing for easier fastening. We rarely see a locket the same and they are nearly always unique thanks to being hand engraved.

Sterling silver.
Sponsor mark of J.R. Assayed in Birmingham in 1888.
The locket measures 40mm by 33mm with the bale extending 15mm above the locket. The chain measures 19 inches.
39.5 grams.
Very good condition however, one ball is missing from the opening side of the locket and another slightly damaged. It would appear that in its past someone has soldered to smaller plates on the inside to add some strength to the locket. The locket is also missing its retaining rings.
