Victorian Diamond Set Star Brooch – SOLD

This fantastic brooch would have been part of a far larger piece of jewellery. The brooch fitting is removable and the hook at the top would have allowed it to be added to a larger collar. This would have been the centre piece of a very elaborate diamond encrusted Victorian necklace for someone of high social ranking. It is very common that these decadent items of jewellery were broken up over the years by family members. A superb item none the less with just shy of two and a half carat of wonderful old cut diamonds. Currently in its original state it will no doubt be converted to a more appropriate pendant. The hook at the back is not ideal for todays chains. If you have a chain you would like to wear it on or you would like to discuss its conversion please do not hesitate to get in contact via all the usual methods.
