Victorian 18ct Sapphire & Diamond Ring – SOLD

A classic Victorian sapphire and diamond ring, they must have made millions of these. A hugely popular design yet everyone is ever so slightly different. Slight variation in stone shape and of course size as well as proportions between sapphire and diamonds. This particular one is from 1892. A handmade ring it is still possible to see some file marks in the holes beneath the stones. The tell tale signs of hand tools used by a skilled individual well over a century ago.

Excellent. Slight wear to the sapphire facets. This is to be expected of a ring of this age however and I would be worried if I did not see something along these lines. It would point to replacement stones if they were perfectly fresh.
