Heart shape opal and diamond antique cluster ring – SOLD

£495.00

A late Victorian or early Edwardian cluster ring set with a central heart shaped piece of natural opal and surrounded by old cut diamonds. Unmarked which is odd yet showing no signs of a new shank (the band) being applied. The detailing on the shoulders is conducive to other similar rings we have had in the past of the same era. It is hard to photograph opals well and we struggled with this one. The actual stone exhibits far more colour than shown on the images, good flashes of red and a slight flash of green.
