Georgian 15ct Paste Ring – SOLD

This is a little fantastic little historic gem we have here. A Georgian paste stone crafted in 15ct gold and silver, very traditional of this age.

The paste is a white transparent foil backed stone that shines thanks to the baking being in great condition. Very often we see these where the stone has had moisture behind it which inevitably damages the foil backing.

SKU: E450 - 15 Category:

15ct gold & silver.
Marks:
Unmarked. Tests 15ct gold & silver.

Foil backed paste.
Measurements:
The head of the ring measures 12.3mm in diameter and stands 7mm proud of the finger. 4mm at the top of the shoulders narrowing to 2.5mm at the back of the finger.
Weight:
4.63 grams.
Condition:
Considering the age of the ring. This is in amazing condition. The ring has also had a sizing done to the back of the shank which is very evident in the pictures but now thanks to some gentle polishing are barely visible to the naked eye. This ring is old and as such should be treated with respect. It will not take kindly to being submerged in water as this will damage the stone’s foil backing.
Finger size:
Approximately — J 1/2 to K. This is an estimate. This ring is very oval and so does not sit on our ring stick very well. We have tried it on a colleagues finger who was a UK - J. The ring was ever so slightly loose. Therefore we estimate it to be a J 1/2 to K.
