Art Deco diamond ring

An art deco ring crafted in 18ct white gold and set with a single Brilliant cut diamond. We cannot say for certain but the story goes this was made in the States. The band is not the original and has been applied at a later date, most likely having been a wedding band that was used as means of building the ring up. It features decorative engraving to the upper raised daylight shoulders. The design and level of manufacture points to being made in the 1930s.

We have not cleaned and polished this ring so it appears in the pictures as it came to us. We can fully polish this to a mirror finish and rhodium plate as all white gold is to make the ring look like new but we would only do this upon request at the point of sale. The condition in general including the large wide shank being used to bulk up the ring, is excellent.
