Antique diamond and ruby buckle ring
Buckle rings were highly popular in the Victorian era. This is a fine example of one such ring set with an old cut diamond between two rubies. A superb example of Victorian jewellery with wonderfully clear hallmarks.

Hallmarked W&H 18ct Birmingham 1891.
Old cut diamond approximately 0.04ct. Two old cut natural pinkish rubies.
9mm wide at the buckle. 6.5mm wide narrowing slightly to 6mm at the back of the finger.
Very good. There is a join which is visible thanks to the solder being left fairly untidy inside the ring. This has been left like this to protect the lovely old hallmark. This has been taken into account with the price.
