18ct & PLAT Vintage Engagement Ring
Description: A lovely vintage engagement ring modelled in 18ct and platinum, this ring dates as early to mid 20th century. Lovely bright centre claw set diamond with two small diamonds set down each shoulder.
Metal: 18ct yellow gold and platinum.
Marks: Signs of what used to be an 18ct stamp.
Stones: Central brilliant cut diamond approximately 0.37ct. Assessed as H-I Si2 Clarity.
Two 0.015ct diamonds in each shoulder taking the overall carat weight up to approximately 0.43ct.
Measurements: 5mm at the widest point being the settings. 2.3mm shoulders tapering ever so slightly to a 2mm wide D shape profile shank.
Weight: 2.34 grams.
Finger size: M.
Condition: Excellent condition. The ring has been previously sized as they have cut though the old 18ct stamp. This is not a hallmark it must be noted - simply as stamp applied by the manufacturers at the point of being made. Being that there is platinum present, anything pre 1975 could not legally be hallmarked as they would not allow the assay of mixed metals.
