18ct & PLAT Sapphire & Diamond Ring
Description: A stunning piece, this early 20th century ring features a central sapphire surrounded by four old cut diamonds and features gorgeous detailing to the setting. A handmade ring, the main body of the ring is 18ct yellow gold while the white metal top section is platinum.
Metal: 18ct gold and Platinum.
Marks: Stamped 18ct & PLAT.
Stones: Central square / cushion facetted sapphire showing colour zoning leading us to believe it is natural rather than commonly used synthetic sapphire. Tall old cut diamonds in each corner of the table measuring as approximately 0.10ct each.
Measurements: The table of the ring is approximately 9mm square and sits nice a low to the finger.
Weight: 3 grams.
Finger size: N.5.
Condition: The millgrain finish to the table is worn, it is not as defined as it would have once been. All in all however the ring is in excellent condition. There even appears to be the remnants of an original retailers stock code engraved inside just under the setting leading us to believe the ring has not seen a great deal of wear over the years.
