18ct Opal and Diamond Ring
Description: The opal is a single piece of opal crystal with wonderful colour across the spectrum. A very hard stone to photograph it is a must see item. We were unable to capture it in the pictures but the opal has a band of red colour running from top to bottom. The stone is most likely of Australian origins and late Victorian to early 20th century British manufacture. It has been cherished and well looked after and requires the same loving attention from its new owner. It is all about the opal with this ring however to top it off there are four rose cut diamond accents to each shoulder.
Metal: Tests indicate 18ct yellow gold.
Marks: Stamped 18ct.
Stones: Central opal approximately 6.24ct - assessed. One of the best opals we have ever had the pleasure of owning it is hard for us to put a precise grading to it as opal grading is a very specialist area. It is safe to say however that this is a very desirable stone. The central red band makes it slightly unique and very identifiable. Set in each shoulder are four small rose cut diamonds.
Measurements: The ring measures at the settings 15mm x 13mm approximately and stands about 8mm proud of the finger. 6mm wide diamond set shoulders with a 1.8mm wide D shape profile shank.
Weight: 5.08 grams.
Finger size: R.
Condition: Excellent condition.
